new and unable to earn xp or coins

I just joined today and have confirmed my email and have spent the last 2 hours completing various "jobs", ctp, and surveys and have not been awarded any coins or xp. My dashboard says i have 0 everything and i'm really annoyed, is this a scam or can someone tell me if im missing something. (I havent linked my paypal yet, so lmk if thats what the issue is).
