The city of Chittaurgarh (Chittor) is located on the banks of river Gambhiri and Berach, in western India.
Historically, it is considered that Chittor was built by the Maurya dynasty in the 7th century AD. The fort is
surrounded by a circular wall which has seven huge gates before one can enter inside the main fort area.
Chittor was one of the most contested seats of power in India with probably some of the most “glorious”
battles being fought over its possession. By tradition, it remained the Mewar capital for 834 years.

Here is another one:

Photographer Michael Zelensky captured this surreal image of the entrance to an amazing snow tunnel. Located under snow fields in the deep ravines at the end of the summer thaw, it extends over a half mile under the snow pack, and close to the nearby Mutnovsky Volcano in southern Kamchatka, Russia.

Begun in the year 713 in the Tang Dynasty, and finished in the year 803, the statue took people more than 90 years to carve. During these years, thousands of workers had expended their efforts and wisdom on the project.

It is carved out of a cliff face that lies at the confluence of the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers in the southern part of Sichuan province in China, near the city of Leshan.

Facing the river, the Buddha has symmetrical posture and looks which have been beautifully captured in its solemn stillness. It is 71 meters (about 233 feet) high, and has three-meter-long (about 11 feet) fingers. The eight-meter-long (about 27 feet) instep is big enough for one hundred people to sit on and the 28-meter-wide (about 92 feet) shoulder is large enough to be a basketball playground.

Ronda is located in the province of Malaga in Spain, famous for it’s city cliffs. It is situated in the mountains at an elevation of 760 meters (2,500 ft). The city is split in two by the Guadalevin River that runs through Ronda, causing it to sit on either side of the El Tajo Canyon formed by the river. There are three bridges that precariously cross the canyon so that you can cross from one side of Ronda to the other.
